An ideal trail for active families and confident hikers. A rare hike to the point where the Jordan River meets the Dead Sea — with wide-open views and a landscape shaped over thousands of years.
Here, the Jordan has cut through the sediments of an ancient lakebed, carving a hidden canyon before disappearing into the Dead Sea. The trail also passes near the historic evaporation ponds of the early potash works that operated here before the establishment of the State of Israel. This is a circular, round-trip route.
